 in the electric guitar industry

Always using the finest materials and craftsmanship to create flawless electric guitars.

THE BEGINNING OF SHIJIE

In 2007, SHIJIE's predecessor was Alex Wong's electric guitar repair studio. Located in China Qingdao and Weifang, the largest electric guitar OEM production base in the world at the time, Alex Wong's studio was situated there.Over the next eight years, Alex Wong repaired over 5000 electric guitars, gaining extensive experience in guitar manufacturing techniques from renowned global brands.

PREPARATION

By the end of 2013, Alex decided to move away from daily repairs and focus on creating a reliable electric guitar that would allow musicians and enthusiasts to concentrate on music, rather than spending significant effort on maintenance. Thus, shijie guitarworks was founded. Alex purchased 94 used electric guitars from the Japanese second-hand market, encompassing most brands and models available at the time. Through extensive disassembly and study, shijie guitarworks was officially established in 2014.

INITIALLY

Initially, shijie primarily provided high-quality guitar necks for customers to upgrade their own guitars. Subsequently, shijie expanded into custom-made guitars.

FOLLOWING THE GREAT SUCCESS OF CUSTOM ELECTRICS, A PLETHORA OF NEW, FINELY CRAFTED HAND-MADE GUITARS AND BASES WERE INTRODUCED.

Prior to 2018, shijie's operations included personal customization and OEM manufacturing. During this period, shijie gained a strong reputation for producing increasingly flawless high-end custom handmade guitars for Chinese users. Simultaneously, shijie OEM-produced numerous electric guitars for several well-known brands from the United States, Japan, and Germany. Following JT's further craftsmanship improvements, shijie decided to cease personal customization and OEM operations, subsequently introducing the TM (Tonemaster) and STE (Strat Elite) series.By late 2017, shijie launched the TM-6,  featuring a solid roasted maple neck, which received widespread acclaim. Shijie was among the first brands in China to apply roasted maple technology to mass-produced guitars. This innovation significantly enhanced neck stability, subsequently adopted as a standard feature in modern electric guitars. Shijie continues to invest substantial resources into research and development, continuously refining its craftsmanship.

MORE TO COME

Due to insect damage to American swamp ash and disruptions in international supply chains during the COVID-19 pandemic, shijie temporarily halted production of the first generation TM-6 in 2020 and closed its custom-made business. That same year, shijie introduced the TLV series, aligned with the STE platform, focusing on producing high-quality handmade guitars that improve traditional guitar feel, stability, resonance, and offer diverse customization options. These guitars became every musician's most reliable partner, delivering high-quality tone and stable performance anytime, anywhere.

With a decade of dedication exclusively to electric guitars, shijie continues to dedicate itself to research and development, bringing more professional and reliable guitars to music enthusiasts worldwide.
